The frames are 4" wider on the back half of the '73-up trucks (except '73-'77.5 Highboys), so if the brackets span the width of frame, they're probably not going to work. However, I wouldn't think, depending on the mounting bracket design, it would be too difficult to adapt it to your narrower frame.
