It's a problem called "site owner has a small weiner," I think. You can get there, you just can't get there from this site.

Actually I agree with keith it would give you opposite caster of what you got now. Instead of / you'd Have \ or instead of \ youd have /.

either way you would probably have to have the caster changed by a good I beam place probably a Deisel repair shop they have I beam Front suspensions all be it single I-beam. Or they would know a place that could help you.

Basically Caster is where and how the steer tire(s) Trail the axle at all speeds and effects Steering return.

So if the castor is like this / right side up, swapped and upside down it would do this \ and would have negative caster.
as opposed to just swapped wich would do this / to this / just everything backwards. I thought that like the 80-93 I beams the 67-72 had one side shorter than the other is this the wrong idea?

I got under and measured them in the truck and they seem to be the same length. I am worried about the tire angle though. I will just have to wait and see what it looks like.

Got the radius arm bushings ordered and I think I am set to get started. I have come to the conclusion that the camber may be off a little but I might be able to fix it with a couple of well placed shims.

If it works out i will not knock it.Good luck. as caster and camber go you could have a diesel alignment shop bend the i beams for you.I think.

Ok all this is really turning into a project. The farther I go the more I find wrong  . I pulled my drums off to replace the brakes while I was there. Passenger side has over 1/8 inch grooves in it. Theres another chunk of change. But I am continuing on.

Was going to take some pics for everyone, the dam batteries in my camera are dead :x . I will have to wait till the wife comes home and go get some. Anyway, I've got it apart and have a lot of cleaning to do before it goes back together.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE :woohoo:

So far so good, 4 1/2 hours to get the front end out, and a couple of parts cleaned up for new bushings. Final measuring done, they are exactly the same length so no problem there.

Heeerrrreeee we go.
