my i-beam/drop bracket project

Post by boots »

well one of my friends came over to help me with this project to get my camber correct on my 67 f100 because i put some 4" lift coils on my truck. so that means i have to build drop brackets for my i-beams so my tires sit straight. bending was not an option, the only person that could do it said $575.00 to do it, and new lift beams cost around that much too. So here are the layouts of the drop brackets. Now I have to buy the materials and cut these brackets out..... ( Just so no one get confused ) If you look at the 1st image link you will see that the top is welded to the frame, and the whole at the bottom is were the i-beam bolts on to. There are a few other things we are doing, such as putting a spacer in between were the i-beam use to bolt onto so that its not weak at that point.

here are the pictures that my friend designed:

should be finished soon , ill keep everyone posted incase anyone is planning to do this to there truck. what you guys think?

That is the way I would prefer to do mine too!
I'll bet there's a lot of other Fordification brothers wanting the same!
Good luck and take a bunch of photos!
