Good job! I've gotten a few. Luckily though, I just avoid it, and tell tehm the same as you have done. Well, at least as far as the number and direct link thing goes.

Well, since it was my ad that was scammed instead of just an email phish like you're getting I copied their copy of my ad and put it in a new ad with the title 'Someone's scamming my for sale ad, Sunbird bowrider' Added my little thing at the bottom with my phone number so they could get a hold of me if interested instead of the email phish guy.

He is still at it. I just placed an ad yesterday and he emailed me. These people email you and try to get you to email them back. Then they wait a while and send you an official looking craigslist email saying your ad is messed up and you need to log in to fix. Meanwhile, it is really their website you are logging into so they can get your infomation and take over your account. Then they post the bogus ads like "2005 Toyota Prius in good condition, $3500". They wait for people to email them back and try to get people to wire them the money telling them they will ship the car once they get the money. It is all one big scam and just once would like to get my hands on one of these scammers. Would love to tell them I was wiring money to a certain location and then actually be there when they showed to get it. That would be great!!!!! Stupid losers need to get real jobs.
