Over the past few days ive been at it pretty hard. Installed new Autometer gauges (Water/Oil) that i stole off my race car. The Kragens cheap water temp one pooped out on me. This turned into my Radiator being pulled out an sent off to a boil shop for cleaning an whatnot,along with the fan/clutch the water pump all for a nice overhaul thats been needed since i bought the truck in 11' so hopfully this friday paycheck ill place a nice little order from Summit to get to the next step. Today at work i sand blasted all the old parts ill re-use for the build an painted them all pretty again. Need to swing by the parts store an snag fluid an hoses next.

Finally got the new mags on...the wagon wheels that have served me so well for 19 yrs have earned a rest in the "waiting for the next super cheapo project" pile..guess it better be a ford, jeep dodge or sammy...hmm a sammy would actually fit in the driveway..

- still got my first first car 20+yrs later : 69 f100 sorta kinda pretending its a Mercury M100 w/a 70 f350 sport custom cab (factory buckets) 67 grille with 69 ranger cooneyes 68 merc box and hood,some supercool fiberglass fenders i scored way back when, 76 f150 disc brake frontend..currently running a 90 5.0HO 4bbl/c4 auto & 3.50 posi...originally a 360/c6 f100 Ranger with dealer added towpack (incl. kelsey hays trailer brake),boxside toolbox,behind the seat stowage & belly tank...only original parts left on 'er are the frame,rear end,rear springs,and rear bumper...

Pulled door latch out of driver's door. De-greased- (de-gunked) it, lubed it up and reinstalled. Also cleaned out (as best i could) the interior handle mechanism itself and did the same lube treatment. Then fixed a broken lock pawl and oiled up the lock cylinder and door handle button. It all works smooth as silk now. Passenger side will get done this weekend now that my replacement window regulator is here....
1967 F250 66k original miles when bought in 2012. Original 352 bored and stroked (Oct 13) to 396 cid, Upgrades include Cam Motion solid cam and lifters, C8AE-H heads now flow 220 intake/163-170 exhaust w/o pipes. Current project is a C6 swap in place of the original FMX. 4:10 Dana 60. Truck Custom ordered by original owner in Dark Moss Green over Wimbledon White.

My power steering cooler had a slow leak. I bought a replacement cooler at NAPA several months ago. It looked a lot like the original except it is aluminum. It was above freezing and not raining like for the first time since I bought the part. So I put it on. The directions with the cooler said you should mount it on the radiator, either in front or behind it.... I had to fan something up to mount it on the bracket in the stock position. I did use one of the plastic zip tie like fasteners that came with the kit to fasten it to the bracket . The original was tack welded to the bracket, but this cooler is aluminium..... It should hold....

Pulled the console I made out of it for some measurements.
Haven't had the ol girl on the road since Oct of 2010. Haven't even started it in over a year. Kinda miss that old truck.

After much trouble with a Holley 4160 that kept dumping raw fuel into the cylinders I finally got my edelbrock intake and NEW edelbrock carb installed and running.

Installed new anti-rattle kits and window rubber for the doors. Ahhhh ....... now I can actually hear the radio as I'm driving down the road. And the windows don't roll down on their own!
Interesting note: probably because of the age, the old "rubber" had vulcanized into a hard plastic. Had to chip it all out with a hammer and chisel. Glad that job is behind me! Although I did realize that my missing wrench is inside the passenger door! Arrrgh!

I was going to drive the '69 Ranger to work Thursday but a dead battery nixed that plan. I went to put the battery charger on it but the battery was so dead it wouldn't even take a charge. I dug the receipt out of the glove box and saw it was still covered under warranty. I pulled the battery today, after I got home from work, took it back to O'Reilly's and exchanged it straight across for a brand new battery --no extra cost to me.
I've been wanting to pitch the stock, solid mount, 4-blade fan for a Ford 7-blade fan with a clutch. I picked up a 7-blade fan (D0SE-8600-A) off ebay ($15.00) and got a fan clutch from O'Reilly's ($36.00). I figured while I was changing out the battery this evening, I would go ahead and swap fans too.
The truck is back running again but it's hard to say if the fan is an improvement since it's currently below freezing here in south Arkansas.

I took a break from body work and rebuilt my motor, finished putting it together today, so I guess it's back to the body.

I tried to put in the rear axle seals but the parts store gave me seals that didn't work (4 times)

started on the tilt column install & steering box re & re.
Freezing fog kinda delayed things till this afternoon or i'm pretty sure all i'd hafta do is a little rewiring
The flaming river ujoint i'm gonna use for a coupler is the perfect length
Gotta grab something to pretty up the column below the shift collar and we'll be good too go
