Yeah, I do most of my own work... until it gets to body work, I have the know how but not the hands...

Still, once the old "While I am in here, I might as well...." kicks in, $5,000.00 just don't go that far...

I mentioned $5,000. will go a decent distance, not all the way. There will always be something else. I know if you do a total ground up it could go $25,000, $35,000. or the skys the limit. More often then not, the old pocket book tells one when they are done.

Giving my 72 new exhaust, installing the a/c that I have and some small things would eat up about 2 grand. The rest would go toward combining my 67 F100 and 69 highboy into 1 mobile truck. :)

I'd put it towards a 10-71 blower and the dual 2100 cfm kit :D If it had to be spent on the bump...

I'd either get my hands on the modular v-8 like in Classic Trucks Mags Build off and all that was needed for it, Or find a way to put the new econoboost six and it's stuff under the hood. Get Some rack and opinion steering And get the all the body work done.

$5000 you say? I'd probably run down to the auto-parts store and load the bed of the truck up with the stuff to get the front suspension up to par with the rear, enough POR-15 to finish the frame and underside of body, probably splurge on a T19 (have one in mind just haven't had the money to put to the side yet), 4bbl and headers on the little 302 with a mild cam, new tires, whats left can go towards body work if there is any left .

um. without a current price list i'll punt:
$? for a 4v intake and the 600 c.f.m. to go with it.
lessee, um... I need four new tires... and chains...
I really need a rebuild to a 390 at 350 h.p. or maybe 400.... seems that is about 3000 clams...
the above and a tank or two of gas oughta do it.
if it don't, I can paint it. bright aZZ pink just to be a jerk.
