Ordering Parts?
I need some suggestions on ordering parts. I have several parts catalogs, but haven't ordered anything yet. Who has the best reputation and customer service? Should I call the company before I order? (things like that) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Ordering Parts?
if you are going to buy parts online from the vendors here is a good place to look at who they are and what they are like. http://www.fordification.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=15
there are other considerations. such as dennis carpenter sells mostly ford made parts from the original casting. but not all of his parts are from ford castings. other thigns to consider is to ask about certain parts from us. if you are in coubt. also when orderign parts lots of parts canbe had at a locla junkyard. which will save you shipping costs and pains if there is something wrong with the part that was shipped to you. also dont forget your local parts stores can still get alot of parts for these trucks to you locally. and there retunr policy is usually easier since they are local.

Re: Ordering Parts?
I would go with NPD or Dennis carpenter for truck parts if they have what you want, NPD sells most of the DC stuff but not all.
I've also used Mustangs unlimited (for stuff like stainless fuel lines and valve covers) and Year One has entered the Ford scene recently as well, I've bought from Year one but it was a VERY long time ago and not for a Ford... There were excellent then...
