So I went to the junk yard today just to see what I could find, didn't have anything special in mind when I went. They had 2 72 pick up's, a mid 70's pic up and I would guess a late 50's early 60's. All the 70's were stripped down to bare bones so there wasn't much there I could find. I did however pick up a choke cable and bezel that actually says choke on it for my truck out of the late 50's early 60's Ford. So my trip wasn't a total loss. I did find on one of the 72 trucks the "frame" ( sorry can't think of the word I am looking for) for the tail lights but I realized that the tail lights were not identical to what I have, so I didn't grab them.
Is this experience typical, I mean is it usual to go to a junk yard and find that the 72 trucks they have aren't the same as yours? Are there different classes of 72 F-100's?
Is my truck kind of unique?
