just got a complete set of stainless steel hubcaps with the crown looking emblem in the middle and with the small areas of black. Has anyone tried to clean these hubcaps up and how, what did you use to repaint the black parts.
thanks

Re: polish and paint
When I did some chrome 1931 Cadillac hubs I used 1-Shot Sign Painter's enamel and LOTS of hardener. The paint is self leveling and sticks to anything clean!
You can probably find it at any artist supply store (Not the Hobby Lobby or other non serious artist supply store). Or you can order it online from numerous suppliers or go to a REAL sign shop where someone actually knows how to swing a brush and they can hook you up.
