Yea for me. I just bought a 1972 crew cab. Driving it home noticed a noise when i hit a bump. Long story short the inside tire is hitting the inner fenderwell. The guy that had it before me did'nt have a bed on it so he put a nice bed on to sell it. Was there different beds for the dually's? How do you tell if its original? I'll post pic's tonight.
Dont sweat the petty things and dont pet the sweaty things!!!!!!!!
No there weren't different beds for the duallies. There never were pickup beds on duallies. They were only made as flatbeds or cab/chassis trucks. You will likely need a wider rear axle if you wanted to keep a bed on it.
Does anyone have any pics of a dually bump with a regular bed? I know they never came factory but someone has to have made one custom. There is a guy in my town that has a '66 shortbed he made into a dually and it has a diesel, just seen it cruising a few times, never could get a pic though .

How much do the outer tires stick out from the fenders? Are the front wheels dually wheels or regular? I don't think crew cabs were built as duallies in '72. It is most likely a SRW truck that somebody put Dually wheels on. You should be able to put regular wheels on it. Did you say you had some pictures?

That has all the signs and symtoms of being a SRW crew with a dualie rear axel. Look at the front end it's for a SRW. Flatbed called it well. Looks pretty cool though.
Perhaps if you want to keep it a dualie, some one off fenders on the outside of the bed to cover the rear wheels would be awsome. Then put a dualie front end on it, that would be
