a short video

Post by Captain America »

I introduced my son to his truck. It sounds mean with an open pipe. Sorry for the crappy camera phone video.

if its too loud your too old. well, at 18 i put 18 inch glass dumping under the cab and ran all over missouri. now at 26 my wife keeps getting mad at me because i say "what" every time she says anything. but that truck still sounds good today.

In high school I put full length headers, 2.5" pipe, 18in glasspacks and 5" echo tips on my 1994 F150. The neighbors said the heard me topping a hill 1 1/2 miles from my house. I had 2/10" subs in the back seat and you couldnt hear them when I gassed on it. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Drove th truck the other day and had to take 2 tylonal extra strength after a 5 mile drive.. . . . . .What was I thinking?

I did know everything, about everything. cams, exhaust, sterios, you name it, I just woke up one morning and realized I forgot it all. Now I have spent a few years learning.

Installed the rest of the exhaust this morning. I harvested the biggest, newest exhaust system I could find at the U-Pull. Got everything from the cab back for about $10. Hangers and all. One connector and a couple of new clamps later, it's all in. Captain America is so quiet now, I might change the name to Major Stealth. Guess I'd have to ditch the red/white/blue paint and go flat black if that happens.
