Re: The New Explorer
It's more modern, I guess. Looks ok, but not my cup of tea. I don't know, but somehting aobut it just doesn't sit well. It almost looks like a big version of an Acura or some other vehicle blown up..

Re: The New Explorer
I had a 1993 Ford Explorer Sport that I put 224,000 miles on. It was the best car I have ever had. I only got rid of it because my wife refused to drive a standard.
The new one looks pretty good but I don't like the holes on the top and bottom of the grille. Weird.

Re: The New Explorer
It's not gonna be an explorer any more. No frame for the new ones. They're gonna be built on the "car" platform instead of the "truck" platform. More like Volvo "suv" than a Ford.... It'll just be another bigger escape.

Re: The New Explorer
I had a 1992 Explorer Sport. I had it for two months before going to Belgium (Army assignment) and shipped it there. It had the 4.0L in it with a 4 speed and honestly, it would just about snap your neck when you took off. We loved it.

Re: The New Explorer
Why do they insist on all the electronic doodads in the dash?
